As a Community Owner, you have the ability to specify a display name for any documents in your community. This will allow community owners greater flexibility and can help ensure that the name of the document is meaningful for business users.
Steps for Specifying a Display Name for Documents
- After logging in, select Documents on the left-sidebar.
- Click on the row of the document you wish to change the display name.
- Click on the Edit display name link.
- Change the name of the document.
- Hit Enter on your keyboard or click anywhere outside of the text field.
- A quick message will display saying "Display Name was successfully changed."
- Click on the "< Back to Documents" link.
- To show that new name, now you need to add the Display Name column. To do this, click on the cog icon on the column row.
- Find the Display Name attribute, and click on the checkbox.
- Click Save.
- You will now see the Display Name property in the list.
- You can move this column to a different location by holding down on the click, and drag it to a different position.

- Change the name of the document. (For this example, we'll rename it to 'Received Goods')

- Click on the "< Back to Documents" link.
- To show that new name, now you need to add the Display Name column. To do this, click on the cog icon on the column row.
- Find the Display Name attribute, and click on the checkbox.

- You will now see the Display Name property in the list.
