An investigation can be helpful in seeing the movement of products through your supply chain. When conducting a product investigation, you may want to kick off a withdrawal with the products you’ve searched for. When conducting a location investigation, you may want to create a withdrawal with one or more of the products found at these locations. To learn more about these types of searches, see the article Creating an Investigation.
Steps to Creating a Withdrawal
When viewing an investigation, click on the Withdrawal List button in the top right corner.
In the pop-up, you’ll see a list of the affected products and locations from your investigation. You can remove products and/or locations now by clicking the ‘x’. However, there will be opportunities later to both remove and add to this list.
Click Create Withdrawal to be brought into the step-by-step form to kick off a withdrawal. Note that clicking this button brings you to the form only; it does NOT start the withdrawal. Select the appropriate Withdrawal Template and fill in the details. Then, click Next.
The withdrawal form will be pre-populated with information from your investigation where applicable, such as products, product information, and locations.
You can make changes as necessary, then start the withdrawal. To learn more about this process, see the article Creating and Initiating a Withdrawal.
