Specification Ingredients & Nutrients Powered by Genesis Foods

Our integration with Genesis Food allows you to pull ingredient and nutritional data directly from Genesis Foods.

When creating a specification template, some of the attributes in the Ingredients & Nutrients category are integration specific attributes and will pull information directly from Genesis Foods, if the product is also there.

Integration Specific Attributes

As you create a new specification with a template that has integration attributes, you will be able to search for Ingredients and Recipes coming directly from your business’ Genesis Foods account.

NOTE: The ingredients and recipes available for selection are those that are in an Approved status in Genesis Foods. If an ingredient or recipe is in a draft state, it is not available for use in FoodLogiQ.

Exporting Information into Genesis Foods

Community Owners that manage their Ingredients in Genesis Food can now use FoodLogiQ’s specification process to collect standard ingredient and nutritional information from their suppliers or internal locations. Through the variance request process, Community Owners transition that information directly into Genesis Foods as a new ingredient. They can use the newly updated parent specification to create the ingredient in Genesis Foods.

While the Ingredient remains in a draft version 1 state in Genesis Foods, the systems will sync any changes every 10 minutes. Once the Ingredient is approved in Genesis Foods and moved into an approved Version 1, the Ingredient will no longer sync with FoodLogiQ.

NOTE: Changes made to the FoodLogiQ parent specification after creation will not sync to the Genesis Food ingredient. The Genesis Foods attributes on the specification will then lock and no other edits will be able to be made to them in FoodLogiQ. All changes will need to be made in Genesis Foods.
