Community Owners that manage their Ingredients in Genesis Food can now use FoodLogiQ’s specification process to collect standard ingredient and nutritional information from the supplier through a variance request and transition that information directly into Genesis Foods.
This integration supports the following attributes, and at least ONE attribute has to be used to be able to create an ingredient:
- Allergen Statement - Statement specifying potential food allergens in a product
- Ingredient Statement - The Ingredient Statement provides information on the constituent ingredient make up of the product.
- Diet Type - The code indicating the diet the product is suitable for
- Preparation Type - The technique used to make the product ready for consumption
- Serving Size - Measurement value specifying the serving size or portion
- Serving Size Description - The description or additional information of the serving size for the product
- Daily Value Intake Percent - The amount of the nutrient contained in the product as a percentage of the daily intake reference
- Packaging and Compliance Claims - The information regarding the product's nutritional/health claims
- Nutrient Value Table - Genesis Foods' Nutrient Value Table listing the nutritional content of an ingredient or recipe
While the Ingredient remains in a draft version 1 state in Genesis Foods, the systems will sync any changes every 10 minutes. Once the Ingredient is approved in Genesis Foods and moved into an approved Version 1, the Ingredient will no longer sync with FoodLogiQ.
NOTE: Changes made to the FoodLogiQ parent specification after creation will not sync to the Genesis Food ingredient. The Genesis Foods attributes on the specification will then lock and no other edits will be able to be made to them in FoodLogiQ. All changes will need to be made in Genesis Foods.
