Create a new document by selecting a document type and configuring its details before beginning the interview wizard.
Document Types
Document types define the steps and questions presented in the interview wizard.
System document types include:
- HACCP
- SOP
- PRP
- GMP
- Training
- GLOBALG.A.P. IFA module types
- PrimusGFS module types
- FSMA 204 Traceability Plan
The FSMA 204 Traceability Plan includes a setup dialog that expands into seven covered-entity profiles.
System document types are read-only.
Custom document types can be created, edited, duplicated, and deleted from Settings > Document Types.
Document type cards on the Dashboard display the configured icons and colors for each type.
Start a New Document
You can start a new document from the Dashboard or the New Document page.
When creating a document:
- Select a document type.
- Enter a descriptive document name.
- Choose the applicable regulatory authority:
- US
- Canada
- EU
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Mexico
- Optionally select the GFSI certification schemes that apply to your facility.
- Enter your facility, product, and scope details.
As you enter information, typeahead suggestions appear based on your previous documents.
You can also create a document directly from a Compliance Manual checklist by selecting Create for a document slot.
Import an Existing Document
If you already have a completed document, you can import it instead of using the interview wizard.
To import a document:
- Select Import Existing Document from the New Document page, or choose Import from a Compliance Manual checklist.
- Upload your file (PDF, Word, or another supported format).
- Select the appropriate document type.
Imported documents are saved as finalized drafts and open directly in preview. You can edit the imported content in preview and export it like any other completed document.
Imported documents count toward your Audit Readiness score the same as documents created with the interview wizard.
