Scanners
Our recommendation is if you want to use a mobile device with a laser to scan barcodes, currently the only supported devices are Zebra TC55/TC52. You can use the camera to scan barcodes on any iOS or Android device when submitting events within the FoodLogiQ Connect app. Here's a link to an article on our Knowledge Base that describes the devices that we support: https://foodlogiq.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/14293849266573-FoodLogiQ-Supported-Web-Browsers-Mobile-Application-Systems-and-Devices
Printers
Regarding printers and labels, you may want to start with your current provider. Sometimes, it's just a matter of adding the GS1-128 to your program of labels you are able to print.
FoodLogiQ also has a solution where you can print sheets of GS1-128 labels. Here is an article from our Knowledge Base with instructions: https://knowledge.foodlogiq.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002974008
Finally, GS1 US has a directory for finding solution providers. (GS1 US Solution Provider Finder). They have a number of certified partners who can provide you with the software and hardware to create and print labels.
Troubleshooting
- If the scanner beeps, but no data is being populated in the application.
For Motorola devices, it is likely that the FoodLogiQ Connect application was unable to programmatically create the appropriate datawedge profile. Please follow the instructions in this link to setup datawedge manually.
