This article explains how to use the Ship To Locations tab to manage the locations where your products are shipped. You can easily add new locations individually or import multiple locations at once for efficiency.
Accessing the Ship To Locations Tab:
- Navigate to Locations by clicking on Locations from the left navigation menu.
- Click on the Ship To Locations tab.
Configure the Ship To Locations Table:
The Ship To Locations tab displays a table containing information recorded for the locations created. Similar to other FoodLogiQ tables, the columns are configurable by clicking on the cogwheel at the far right of the column headers. You can:
- Add and Remove columns
- Drag and Drop
- Sortable columns
- Export table
Adding a New Ship To Location (Ad-Hoc):
- Within the Ship To Locations tab, click on the button labeled Add Location.
- A form will appear, prompting you to enter the details of the new shipping location.
- Fill in all the required fields. The required fields are: Location Name, and GLN or GGN
- Optionally, you can also provide a Category, Address, Phone Number and Description number for this location.
- Once you have entered all the necessary information, click on the Save button.
- The newly added location will now appear in the Ship To Locations table.
Importing Ship To Locations in Bulk:
For users with a large number of shipping locations, the bulk import feature provides a more efficient way to add them to the system.
- Within the Ship To Locations tab, look for a import icon button
- You will be presented with the import page where you will select the community to share the locations with (select "No Community") and the option to download the .CSV template.
- Download the provided template file. This template will ensure your data is in the correct format for successful import.
- Prepare your import file:
- Open the template file (or create a new CSV file).
- Ensure the first row of your file contains the correct column headers.
- Enter your ship to location data in the subsequent rows, ensuring each column corresponds to the correct information.
- Save your file in CSV (.csv) format.
- Upload your import file:
- Drag file to Import area or click on Browse button.
- Locate and select the CSV file you just saved.
- Click on the Upload, Import, or Submit button.
- The system will process your file and the results will be found in the History tab of the import screen.
- If import is successful, the locations will be added to the Ship To Locations table.
- If import has errors, click on the arrow in the import row to view the error messages and try again.
Managing Existing Ship To Locations:
- Editing: To modify the details of an existing location, click on the location row in the Ship To Locations table and click on Edit Location Information. A form will appear with the current information, allowing you to make changes. Once you have made your edits, click Save.
